The coordinator
Leonardo Cervera Navas has worked in the data protection unit of the European Commission for five years where he has participated in the negotiations between the United States and the European Union and has provided expertise to the European governments and data protection authorities.
In 2006, he was the co-recipient with Jay Cline of the second annual Barbara Wellbery Memorial Award established in 2003 to honor the memory of Barbara Wellbery and her contributions to the field of international privacy.
In 2005 he joined the unit in charge of intellectual property in the European Commission and at the moment he is the EU fellow at Duke University under the US Fellowship Programme of the European Commission.
